Determined to make your organisation neuroinclusive but hitting a wall?

Youā€™ve got so much enthusiasm but so little time. Youā€™re busy running an ERG alongside your day job or youā€™re trying to raise awareness of the endless important EDI topics as the companyā€™s EDI champion.

Iā€™ve been there. Itā€™s frustrating. Overwhelming. Stressful.

Scaling neuroinclusion is crucial but itā€™s not easy, and it can feel like a really slow process.

With so many employees to educate about neurodiversity, how do you ensure everyone knows everything they need to?

You can't really. It's almost impossible.

Instead, you become a NeuroNavigatorĀ®.

An internal expert and neurodiversity champion.

  • You'll no longer feel overwhelmed and frustrated

  • Youā€™ll be able to scale neuroinclusion

  • Youā€™ll be confident to offer support to neurodivergent people, managers and HR colleagues

  • Youā€™ll be able seek further support when needed

  • Youā€™ll have the resources and knowledge to share across the business in a sustainable way

"The neurodiversity awareness training was the best thing I can remember doing - such a great topic and brilliantly facilitated!"

NeuroNavigatorsĀ® will gain:

  • Learning - the knowledge and confidence toĀ support your organisation to be neuroinclusive
  • ResourcesĀ  - aĀ deep understanding of how to use our tools, frameworks and workbooks (and your own copies of all resources)
  • A plan - you'll create your own personalised plan to embed neuroinclusion in your organisation
  • Support - access to ongoing support for specific questions (because we recognise that you canā€™t be an expert in everything straight away)

The NeuroNavigator modules are:

Ā

  1. Becoming a neurodiversityĀ champion
    • Discover what it means to be a NeuroNavigator and reflect on where your organisation is now and where you want it to be.
  2. Neuroinclusion and neurodiversity 101
    • Understand what neurodiversity is and why it's so important. Explore language and framing, facts and data to generate enthusiasm, and learn how to develop empathy, and when to move beyond it.
  3. The foundational pillars of neuroinclusion
    • The key pillars of neuroinclusion - intersectionality, a policy, an ERG and the annual calendar. We'll create and plan together for maximum success.
  4. How to create a safe and inclusive environment
    • Explore social norms and how to dismantle them. Uncover strategies to break down barriers and support all employees, and learn what to do if someone tells you they're neurodivergent.
  5. Reasonable adjustments
    • Explore the legalities, examples of reasonable adjustments and what to do in specific scenarios.
  6. Performance management
    • Explore the boundaries between a lack of support and a true performance issue, and learn how to remove neuronormative thinking from performance reviews and have difficult conversations.
  7. Neuroinclusive meetings, events and communications
    • Learn how to make your meetings, events and communications neuroinclusive.
  8. Sensory processing
    • Learn what sensory processing is and how it can impact people at work. Plus uncover strategies to provide sensory-accommodating environments.Ā
  9. Creating neuroinclusive offices and spaces
    • Learn about neuroinclusive design and architecture, and how to create a neuroinclusive office.
  10. Your personalised neuroinclusion plan
    • Close and wrap up session where you'll finalise your personal plan to embrace neuroinclusion in your workplace. We'll cover boundaries, signposting and the NeuroNavigator drop in sessions.Ā

The NeuroNavigatorĀ® programme is run by me, Jess Meredith

Let me start with what Iā€™m not (not your typical way of doing things!)Ā

  • Iā€™m not a medical professional.
  • Iā€™m not a scientist.Ā
  • Iā€™m not a therapist.

All wonderful professions and bring really valuable expertise to our world.

However, my focus is on the practical side of neurodiversity and how differences in how we operate and work can impact collaboration at work.Ā

Iā€™ve worked in numerous roles in large organisations, startups and scale ups. I know what the barriers are and I know how to break them down. I know what itā€™s like to be so passionate about creating change in an organisation but struggling to make it happen. Iā€™ve been there. Iā€™ve run ERGs. Iā€™ve worked in EDI. I really do get it.

I specialise in simplifying complex topics, and enabling people to create change with simple, step by step approaches. My methods resonate because theyā€™re not scientific. I will explain what you need to know about neurodiversity as it relates to the workplace. But I wonā€™t bamboozle you with more knowledge and science than you need.

Photo of Jess Meredith standing in front of a beach hut. She is wearing a Differing Minds branded black jumper and she is laughing. Her curly hair is blowing across her face. The beach hut has vertical stripes in pastel colours.

And I do all this in a fun way. You wonā€™t just be listening to me talking, thatā€™s too boring to create the change we actually need! Itā€™s packed full of interactive exercises and the chance to ā€˜doā€™ rather than just ā€˜listenā€™.

Iā€™m also neurodivergent. And have neurodiverse children. So I bring lived experience alongside many years of professional experience.

Iā€™ve worked with Accenture, the NHS, the Adecco Group, Deustche Bank, Virgin Media O2 and countless others.Ā

Iā€™m so looking forward to working with you!

Keep on going Jess, the work you do is so important.
